As a bistro and bar, they offer an authentic dining experience for your lunches and dinners. Lunches are available on weekdays from 11am to 3pm. They feature fresh bread from their own bakery, a must, as well as traditional Swedish dishes.
  Starting at 4 p.m., dinner service takes over each evening, with a menu designed to pair perfectly with a selection of wines. The name itself, which translates to "Under the Chestnut Tree," perfectly describes its enchanting location on the small square of Brända tomten . Its main charm is the outdoor seating area situated under a large, spreading chestnut tree. It's a quiet and picturesque spot, away from the main tourist crowds, offering a perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. Inside, the restaurant has a warm and inviting "homestead style" with checked tablecloths, creating a cozy and traditional Swedish ambiance . There are multiple indoor seating areas, including a basement level that's great for gatherings.

A truly charming and welcoming little place in a quiet square in Gamla Stan. We stopped for lunch: the food was good and the atmosphere very relaxing. Overall, a pleasant meal, neither great nor bad, ideal for a quiet and unpretentious stop while exploring the Old Town. Four well-deserved stars.

We were recommended this place and checked it out. We were pleasantly surprised by the place, the food, the price, the quick time it took to get the food and the cozy interior. We ordered Tomato soup, which was rich in flavor. Pancakes. Hamburger and grilled toast. Everyone was very happy with the food served. Can highly recommend this place 👍
