  Very nice environment, service and restaurant. Unfortunately I was not happy with the food, none of the dishes were wow. Raw steak, wild salmon, goat cheese and linguini. The pasta was bland and very oversalted. The raw steak was not good either and the salmon was so-so. Unfortunately I was not sold on the food.

  Review This review should be read positively. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon as Amex Platinum guests. This means that Amex pays the bill except for drinks and certain parts of the menu that are not included. When we arrived, we were well received and escorted to the back, windowless part of the restaurant. We were placed at a table that we understood was used specifically for Amex guests. The seats were okay but were close to the kitchen and next to the drinks station for the dishes, with a lot of running behind the back. Understandable and practical - but it felt like being put on a bit of an exception. A big plus was that we were each served a glass of bubbly that was included - which I have not experienced elsewhere. The menu is, as it should be, very French and exemplary short. However, I was missing a genuine meat dish in the Amex deal. Now it was only the hamburger that almost qualified there as we perceived it. We chose asparagus and raw steak for starters. The asparagus was a very generous portion that would have been enough as a main course. The raw steak was served according to the traditional recipe, but the side dishes were quite skimpy and we had to ask for salt and pepper, which were not on the table. For the main course we had linguini with shrimp and free-range chicken. The linguine was very good and very generous – actually on the high side. The chicken was quite okay but nothing stood out. It would have been nice if it had been given a second in the salamander to crisp up the skin, which was now instead limp and not so appetizing. The barbecue flavor was quite okay and this dish was also generous in size. The fries were good and crispy. The service was a bit uneven: a waiter who felt a bit like a “French edgy” and a female waitress who was very service-oriented and really on her toes. In summary, it was a positive visit. The food was not fantastic but quite okay. A little reflection: as an Amex Platinum guest you are treated very differently – sometimes as a VIP, sometimes more like something the cat dragged in. Here we ended up somewhere in between. We would love to come back.
