  Impressed! I live in Stockholm and have tried most of them but this bar is definitely a new favourite! Live jazz, cozy vibe, innovative and insanely good drinks and an extraordinary service. Great place for a Friday AW, a date or just a really good bar visit!

  I was tired, not much time to see Stockholm. I discovered this bar after walking along the dock from the Fotografiska (the photo museum was open late until 11pm). I was drawn into Bar Brahe by a tiny open flame on the cobbled pavement outside and there was promise of Jazz - though I was on the wrong night for live music. Being a hotel cocktail bar it is catering for tourists but …. On this occasion rather than try too hard to be cool and authentic I accepted my tourist credentials and embraced the bar being there for a quick treat. I had the Stockholm cocktail (Punch, OP Anderson Klar, Gooseberry, Champagne Syrup) served with a ram head stirrer (as an Aries this landed well) little Viking motifs and dock inspired cocktails landed well with me. I’m a river city girl. I also ordered the smetana, honey and pickles. Yum. All good things for me. Quite pleasant as a solo traveller but not authentic enough for me to hang about.
